We, Fergus Exile (formerly known as Patrick Dolge) and William McCall, of The Blue House at 221 E Holston Avenue in Johnson City, TN are house mates looking for house mates and not landlords looking for tenants. All actions taken to find house mates have been taken by us and not by our landlord. All actions have been permitted.
We state that the rent for the 100 and 150 sq ft, upstairs rooms available for rent is $250 monthly in order to cover all ground. This is not false advertisement. Rent is on a month-to-month basis and is based on the square footage of the room. Original prices are a guideline based on the cost of utilities. The actual cost of rent may be lower or higher on a month-to-month basis. The total cost of rent depends on the utilities for that month.For example, if someone leaves the garden hose on for two weeks, rent may get up to $300 on those smaller rooms. If everyone turns off lights while not in a room, shuts off the garden hose when not in use, and takes a normal shower of 10 to 15 minutes; Rent could be as low as $200 a month. Repeat: Rent depends on the utilities for that month.

We, and our landlord, do not discriminate. We have a right to limit the number of pets allowed in this house for the safety and health of others. We prefer to keep our home drug free. Smoking is allowed outdoors only.

Owners are responsible for damages caused by pets.
If the animal urinates on the hardwood floor and the owner neglects to clean the spill, leaving the urine to soak in for hours; the owner will be made responsible to clean it out of the hardwood floor or pay for a professional to steam the urine out of the hardwood floor and have the wood resealed.
We do not accept responsibility for the animals. If the owner neglects the animal and it is clearly starving (can see rib cage) from something other than illness, authorities will be called in and the owner can potentially lose the animal.
